Sculptural Studies

Student Work - CovieloThe 3D and Sculpture area of SUNY Oneonta offers a variety of courses designed to expose the student to both traditional and contemporary techniques of space manipulation.

Our extensive 3D studios allow the students to engage a wide range of materials and techniques, and the instruction is focused on allowing the student to challenge their own aesthetic boundaries in a environment conducive to exploiting ones own creativity.

3D Facilities Student at workThe facilities of the 3D area are comprised of a woodshop, a metalshop, a ceramics studio, and The Experimental 3D Factory (a 3D-focused digital facility). The students can take advantage of the equipment in these rooms to create sculpture in metal, wood, clay, and computer modeling among the myriad of possibilities.
